Debi joined our team in 2012. Except for a hiatus raising her son and daughter, she has been working in the medical field since graduating from Robert Morris College with her CMA certification more than 35 years ago. At the end of the day, she hopes to have made a positive impact on each patient she either sees in our office, assists on the phone or help through our patient portal.

In her spare time, she can be found doing decorating projects around her home, antiquing, taking photographs or gardening. Debi loves listening to music and playing with her dog and spending time with husband. Debi currently spends one day a week watching her grandson (who keeps grandma laughing and on her toes), and that time is the highlight of her week. Her perfect day would certainly involve spending time outdoors, hanging out with her family and seeing a sunset at the end of that day. The icing on the cake would be if a beach were involved!

Kelly joined our team in February 2020 after staying home for a few years with her two sons, Noah and Aiden. During her time off work, Kelly received her diploma in Medical Assisting from Rasmussen College in Aurora through the American Association of Medical Assistants. Previously, she worked at a surgery and treatment center for foot and ankle and at a Senior Living Community. Kelly was drawn to the medical field because she has lived as a type 1 Diabetic for over 23 years!

After all is said and done, Kelly hopes to leave a lasting impression on each patient she sees and hopes everyone leaves the office feeling validated and comfortable with the care they have received. She loves talking with patients and taking time to understand everyone that comes through our door.

Kelly enjoys crafting, walking outdoors and playing cars and kinetic sand with her boys (who also love to read). Kelly’s sons are the light of her life and her perfect day would involve going on adventures with them and also spending quality time around the rest of her family.

Her passion is helping individuals reach their optimal health potential by focusing on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention education. For those with chronic health problems, achieving the best possible quality of life is the ultimate goal. Dr. Karam and his office staff are dedicated to working together with every patient to achieve his or her maximal potential.

Lisa’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Roosevelt University and an Associate in Applied Science in Medical Assisting from William Rainey Harper College. She subsequently earned her Certification in Medical Assisting (CMA through AAMA).

Her interests outside the office include bicycling, kayaking, playing pickleball, outdoor travel adventures, honing her culinary skills and enjoying live music outdoors.

Michelle joined our team in 2020. Over the past 30 years, she has worked as a receptionist, medical secretary and transcriptionist in a variety of medical settings. Her goal has always been to assist each patient, on the phone or in person, with respect and compassion, and to help provide a positive experience.

When not at the office, she likes to read, float in her pool, walk and treasure hunt at antique and secondhand stores. She enjoys spending time at the family lake house with her husband and two sons boating and being outside in nature. She has a love for dogs, especially her Labrador Yuna and German Shorthair Pointer rescue Lucky.

In the future, her hope is to travel back to Sicily and spend time with family and learn more about her ancestry.
